Bon Voyage

Meanwhile, Dave and I both have birthdays in January so we celebrated jointly by going to Mari Mari for Sunday brunch.  This is the largest marina in Puerto la Cruz and is known for their delicious food.  We had pasta, with the sauces individually made, and totally enjoyed ourselves.  It was a perfect day , for at our age, we got to go home and take a NAP !!!

It was a RED HAT DAY for the opening of the new watchtower installed by Bahia Redonda Marina for the greater safety of cruisers.  Marina manager, Carlos, stands with Diane and Dorothy, on either side, who were responsible for the project.  The Queen of the Marina, Anne, presided over the official opening with non other than Dave as her King.  And believe me, she sounded just like the Queen - Brit that she is.

Below are two great friends - Italians Eleana and Andres.  She is a beautiful designer of jewelry.

And so it was time to leave all of the truly good friends that we made during our five months of cruising in Venezuela.  We thank each of them for the good times and happy memories.  But as cruisers we all know that we never say good-by - rather "FAIR WINDS AND MAY OUR PATHS CROSS AGAIN."
