Taylor and Nancy's Hawaii Trip 2005
Taylor and I decided to visit our family in Hawaii in the summer of 2005. The reasons were special - Taylor was turning 16; Michael and DeeDee had just married and we celebrated the birth of my last grandchild - Little Luke. It was a marvelous trip as I hope these pictures will show.
Greg and Mamie's family center around their activities at church. Here we are sitting on the front steps of their pulpit. It was a wonderful experience for me to attend church with my family. They share a great spiritual life with their friends and congregation and I am most appreciative of that. Seated on the back row are Taylor, Nancy, Greg with Little Luke and Mamie. On the front row are Terrell (9), Hannah (8) and Lauren (7). How lucky can a grandmother be?
The highlight of our trip was Taylor's 16th Birthday Party on July 10th. We celebrated with a pool party for the family. Terrell made everyone a hat with Hannah and Lauren making place cards and menus. They all made Taylor a lei - Hawaiian style of course! (on the right)
Below is Papa Greg and Lauren in Japan with their Yukatas (Kimonos) at the Onsen (Hot Springs)
Here is a picture of Greg with his Grandmother, Nan - my mother, when he was 6 months old in Bethesda, MD. where he was born in 1966. What a cutie - pie !
OCTOBER 4TH 2006 - CONGRATULATIONS TO MY SONS GREGORY AND MICHAEL ON THE ARRIVAL OF THEIR NEW BOAT, THE SCREAMER, IN HONOLULU. WE HOPE IT BRINGS THEM LOTS OF NEW BUSINESS!
